Contractor- Mech PD Engineer

Job Description Role and Responsibilities: • Responsible for the design, check and optimization, realization and integration, life-cycle management, and verification of elements and parts • Interact with cross-functional teams to understand various requirements in developing the design with a focus on user and business requirements, compliance, quality, and cost • Develops high-level and detailed designs in accordance with the product, regulatory and other requirements • Coordinating with the different suppliers/toolmakers to ensure quality delivery on time • Finalizes the design and integration and writes verification plans for the developed elements and parts. Tests, analyses, and verifies the quality of the design • Perform product verification to evaluate overall performance, reliability, and safety • Provide input in the planning process to the project manager; prepare schedules and reports on progress in a structured and methodical way • Ensures good documentation for the regulated device & release using PLM software Experience & Skills: • Mechanical design/development experience for any of the Medical or consumer product • Demonstrated design experience in electro-mechanical product development and material selection for mass manufacturing, in particular injection molded parts, sheet metal parts, and small parts assembly • Knowledge in Mold/Tool Design • Experience in technical problem solving • Demonstrated leadership skills in product development and complex team structure • Experience with finite element analysis for static and dynamic stresses • Experience with design of experiments • Experience with requirements flow down from customer level to components level • Experience with rapid prototyping method • Preferably experience within a regulated industry (medical devices desirable, along with knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management, FDA Quality System Regulations, and ISO 13485). • Proficiency in CAD software, Creo 4.0 preferred • Demonstrated good technical documentation skills • Knowledge of PLM system (preferably Windchill) Education: • Bachelors /Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline • 5 years experience Skills & Experience Creo, Mechanical Design, Product Development, PTC Windchill, Tool Design Cyient is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
