- This position involves working on a PCU unit with responsibilities to float to the ICU or other PCU units.
- Must have previous travel experience; this position is not for first-time travelers.
- Will orient to other transitional units as needed.
- Must comply with COVID-19 and Flu vaccine requirements, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons.
- Candidates will float within hospital or to affiliated hospitals nearby.
- Return staff policy requires being gone for 90 days before returning as a traveler.
- Most units require Level 1 trauma experience; check job description for specific requirements.
- Candidates should have no background or licensure issues.
- Upon submission, it must be disclosed if the candidate has previously worked at this facility to check eligibility for rehire.
- PACU Call Policy: Weekday call from 8 PM-6 AM, weekend call is divided into two shifts: 6 AM-6 PM or 6 PM-6 AM. Weekend begins Saturday at 6 AM and ends Monday morning at 6 AM.
- Floating requirements: PACU closes at 8 PM with patients transferred to main PACU for recovery; IR PACU team will follow and recover their patients there.
- Anticipated call frequency is 2-3 shifts per schedule period.
- Modules are billable, average 6.5 hours per module, and are completed during orientation and annually.
