What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at CyraCom International?
As our Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for CyraCom clients, vendors, and employees. As such, being well-presented, professional, and polite are pivotal traits. In this role, you will provide general administrative and clerical support, while also maintaining front desk coverage.
As a Receptionist, you will:
- Greet all walk-in visitors.
- Provide phone coverage of the main line; check voice messages in a timely fashion.
- Sort corporate mail and distribute incoming faxes and emails.
- Assist and support the executive team by carrying out administrative assignments as required.
- Initiate and respond to written and verbal correspondence.
- Compose, edit, and distribute correspondence according to established guidelines.
- Work independently and as a team, while handling ongoing projects.
As a Receptionist, you must have:
- Demonstrable knowledge of standard office practices and procedures; the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to courteously greet everyone working in or visiting the center.
- Proven experience organizing and maintaining records and files.
- Organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize work and manage competing priorities in an environment with frequent interruptions.
As a Receptionist, you must be:
- Able to schedule and keep track of appointments.
- Skilled at coordinating arrangements with a minimum of supervision.
- Flexible while working in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Clerical and/or administration experience; preferably prior receptionist experience in a fast- paced environment.
Where Would You Work?
This position will be available at our CyraCom office in Houston, TX. No relocation is available for this position.

Physical Demands:
Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
Extensive use of a computer and repetitive hand movements in the performance of duties. Occasional lifting and carrying of material weighing up to twenty pounds may be required
Equipment Operated: Personal computer, printers, fax, copier and telephone.
