As the Director, Talent Development, you will work with the Head of Talent Development to own and manage the learning and development curriculum as well as organizational development needs of the company. You will be expected to be a skilled facilitator and performance consultant who is confident in leading team/group interventions, workshops, training programs, and other forms of development to improve the performance of leaders, employees, and teams. The role requires you to be comfortable working with all levels of employees from executives to individual contributors in both face-to-face and virtual environments and managing a wide range of both strategic and tactical responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and evaluation of key corporate-wide programs including change management, culture, team health, team building, and high potential development initiatives ensuring adoption and behavior change
- Lead all non-sales Learning & Development skills development including annual needs assessment, identification of key gaps, design & development of learning curricula and assets, marketing and communications, program evaluation and ongoing continuous improvement
- Drive the Cytokinetics corporate-wide mentoring program and robust preparation of mentors and mentees to ensure program excellence
- Manage the Cytokinetics executive coaching program, and work closely with external sourcing partners for strong coach matching, tracking, monitoring, and reporting of results
- Partner with the Head of Talent Development and the HR leadership team on the design, execution, and management of two key HR processes, namely the annual performance management process and the annual talent review and succession process
- Deliver targeted skills training, team development workshops, offsites, etc. that may include the delivery of tough leadership and team assessment feedback and coaching
- Utilize proven facilitation techniques to manage complex group dynamics and handle conflict resolution scenarios
- Effectively express ideas and thoughts verbally and visually to match the needs of the audience, accommodate a variety of learning styles, and promote high participant engagement
- Structure and organize content in a way that is easy to process and engage the learner using diverse methodologies (e.g. feedback, self-discovery, storytelling, imagery, writing, and activities that are applicable to the learner’s real world)
- Produce high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced, dynamic, often times ambiguous, deadline-oriented business environment
- Use evaluation data to measure impact and assess content/delivery process improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree 12 years of experience in the talent development field and facilitation/performance consultant role or related experience
- Masters desired in Organization Development, Organizational Psychology, Education or a related field with proven ability to engage, educate, influence, and inspire diverse individuals and groups of stakeholders
- Excellent presentation, training and facilitation skills with both management and individual contributor audiences in a corporate environment
- Deadline-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects, make decisions and solve problems
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across diverse range of stakeholders and to work across boundaries
- Excellent prioritization and organization skills
- The ability to deal effectively with the employees in a professional manner and maintain confidentiality
- Comfortable with facilitating both virtual and face-to-face delivery formats
- Program and project management experience
- Ability to manage changing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to a changing business environment
- Technically savvy with experience in LMS and HRIS systems, Zoom and/or other videoconferences environments, Microsoft Office Suite - PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams
- Experience with Mural and/or Miro preferred
