JOB SUMMARY:
Warehouse Associates are responsible for performing an array of duties, such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders. Hourly rate: $15.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities. (Note: Other duties may be assigned.)
- Fill customer orders as assigned by picking, scale counting, packing, or shipping material.
- Generate appropriate labels for product identification and/or mark materials with identifying information.
- Prepare parcels for shipment in accordance with Heilind and customer specifications to prevent damage, ensure preservation, and accurate identification.
- Work in a manner that promotes efficient handling and minimizes waste.
- Participate in Company sponsored training and process improvement activities.
- Comply with all Company Policies as defined in the Company’s Warehouse Orientation Packet.
- Pursue continuous improvement through training and process improvement.
- Comply with all applicable elements of the Company’s Quality Management System.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Must have attention to detail.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to use electronic devices such as barcode scanners for material pulling and material put away.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a U.S. Person defined as: U.S. Citizen, Any individual granted U.S. permanent residence, granted status as a “protected person” under 8 U.S.C. 132b (a) (3); corporation/business/organization/group incorporated in the U.S under U.S law; or part of the U.S. government.
- Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to learn & perform multiple tasks in a fast paced team environment
- Ability to work independently and safely
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to perform the following;
- Sit, stand, or walk for long periods throughout the day, up to 8 hours per day.
- Repetitive movements – bending, lifting, squatting.
- Ability to lift or move products up to 10 pounds regularly and frequently up to 25 pounds without assistance..
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- This position is exposed to large moving equipment, including motorized pallet jacks, forklifts, lift trucks, and conveyor belts.
- The facility is equipped with both air condition and heat.
- This facility is a clean and safe work environment. Facility is cleaned and disinfected per CDC guidelines for COVID-19 prevention.
