Reports To: General Manager, D-BAT Concord, NC
Flexible Self-Determined Schedule: Minimum of 20 hours a week including weeknight and weekend availability.
Pay: Hourly rate bonuses available, starting pay depends on experience and current clientele.
Role, Scope, and Requirements: The D-BAT Instructor is a position that works in coordination with the mission of D-BAT Concord.
- Work with leadership to obtain a list of possible client lesson leads and pursue those leads.
- Use customer flow such as batting cages, camps, and clinics to obtain individual lessons.
- Make yourself available for promotional, first-time lessons that lead into long-term consistent clients.
- Primary Focus on 1:1 Lesson, however, an ideal candidate is willing to support camps and clinics.
- Consult with Professional Instructors and D-BAT Instructional methodology to coach in a way that is in line with D-BAT’s missions and values.
- Adhere to D-BAT Concord Policies and Procedures.
- Develop a specific instructional plan for each client.
- Develop an instructional evaluation process for new and potential clients.
- Interact with youth athletes and their families with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Lead by example.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Passion for baseball, softball, and/or speed and agility.
- Possess a strong knowledge of the game.
- Prior playing/coaching experience preferred.
- Experience giving one on one lessons or coaching within a baseball camp environment.
- Ability to have positive interactions with players of all ages and parents.
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends.
- Excellent communication skills.
