Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment and techniques
- Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment in accordance with safety protocols
- Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality images
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging results
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately interpret images
- Assist with other medical imaging procedures such as PET scans, mammography, and sonography as needed
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an X-ray Technician
- Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in an ER or diagnostic imaging center
- Proficient in performing X-ray scans and interpreting results
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Exceptional communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
