Job Posting for Shop Technician Level II at D-Tech Drilling Tools, Inc.
The Shop Technician Level II will operate in the Houston Shop performing a variety of “hands-on” technical support to the production, assembly, and disassembly of Rotary Steerable tools, receive and clean dirty tools, perform general shop maintenance and duties.
The incumbent will be accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:
Assembly & Disassembly of all size Steering Body assets
Perform additional QA check on assets
Complete final assembly of all size RSS Tools
Operate Torque Unit
Loading and unloading of RSS Tools, Assets, or packages from delivery trucks
General shop maintenance & duties
Cleaning floors with floor scrubbing machine
Cleaning all vices, torque units, air compressor, etc. when necessary
Maintain daily/weekly/monthly inspections on all equipment and forklifts
Movement of equipment and racking when required
Changing out of light bulbs in office when required
Cleaning outside of facility areas when required
Cleaning of Shop Truck when required
Assist cleaning of wash bay pits when deep cleaned yearly
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within physical constraints of the job.

To apply you must meet the following criteria:
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
Minimum 1-year experience as a skilled maintenance mechanic.
Minimum 1-year of Torque Unit Operations.
Minimum 1-year experience using overhead crane and forklift.
Minimum 1-year experience in mud motor & bearing pack assembly.
Minimum 1-year precision hand tool experience.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
Ability to work in shifts and overtime (weekends and some holidays included) as required, be flexible in working requirements as the needs of the business dictate.
Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fluid environment, bearing high levels of responsibility and accountability while keeping the best interests of the business in sight. An attention to detail, able to prioritize workload but be flexible to adjust to changing deadlines and work independently with little supervision or as a team.
Ability to maintain the highest standard of personal conduct in performing all duties and the ability to work well with all levels of employees or customers while being service oriented and having a friendly demeanor.
Ability to speak, read, and write in the English Language fluently. Have good communication skills, both verbal and written. Be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and have Operate basic office equipment, such as a keyboard, mouse, and copier/printer/scanning machine.
