What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cannabis Inventory Associate position at DACUT?
The DACUT Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing the receipt and transfer of cannabis product in and out of the facility, whether through internal or external transfers. In addition, this person manages our internal audit process by cycle counts, tracking, investigating, and resolving variances. Maintaining cycle counts and proper upkeep of online menu presence.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Maintain organized and consistent stocking and packaging systems for inputs, outputs, and intermediates.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment that ensures the compliant storage of all items in an operational manner.
- Use and maintain all inventory tracking systems.
- Assist in ongoing loss prevention processes.
- Audit the physical inventory to ensure that the digital inventory aligns precisely.
- Handle receiving inventory in METRC and POS
- Maintain inventory and inventory stocking physically and digitally.
- Maintain accurate records including audits and manifests.
- Coordinate and facilitate the movement of inventory within the store.
- Organize and fulfill customer online orders in an organized and timely manner.
- Process packaging of product, labeling of product, organizing inventory, and maintaining compliance with company and state regulations.
- Work closely with the Inventory Manager to ensure all inventory data is accurate.
- Audit the physical inventory to ensure that the virtual inventory aligns precisely.
- Must be exceptionally well organized to handle large amounts of inventory data, analysis and reporting.
- Stay up-to-date with new cannabis products/services and industry standards.
- Maintain logs and spreadsheets to track inventory concerns and issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- METRC Experience (1 year)
- Previous experience in an inventory or a compliance role
- High attention to detail and compliance mindset
- Knowledgeable of state cannabis regulations
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to be assigned to different tasks throughout the day
- Must be able to pass a iCHAT background check in accordance with state regulations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for at least 8 hours
- Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, crouch to access product
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to push/pull carts with various weights
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Metrc: 1 year (Required)
- Inventory management: 1 year (Required)
- Dutchie POS: 1 year (Preferred)
- Cannabis Industry: 2 years (Required)
Work Location: In person
Pay: $16.00 per hour. Pay is experience based.
