What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Manager position at DACUT?
The DACUT Inventory Manager is responsible for managing the receipt and transfer of cannabis product in and out of the facility, whether through internal or external transfers. In addition, this person manages our internal audit process by cycle counts, building products, tracking, investigating, and resolving variances.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Implement inventory management policies, procedures, and best practices to achieve optimal inventory accuracy and control.
- Assists in intaking products properly and efficiently, while making sure they meet our standards of quality.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all inventory transactions, including receiving, stocking, transfers, and adjustments.
- Supervise and lead a team of inventory control personnel, providing guidance, performance evaluation, and training to ensure effective execution of their responsibilities.
- Regularly monitor inventory levels, reorder points, and lead times to optimize inventory management.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and customers to manage inventory replenishment, resolve inventory discrepancies, and facilitate stock rotations.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions, if required.
- Analyze inventory data and generate reports on key metrics, stock levels, and accuracy to identify trends and areas of improvement.
- Ensure compliance with CRA requirements and company policies concerning inventory control, storage, and safety.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost reductions in inventory management, proposing and implementing appropriate strategies.
- Ensures proper storage and classification of inventory.
- Monitors sales reports to ensure proper reorder of products.
- Assist in cultivating and maintaining a positive environment.
- Experience working in a retail or customer service environment is a plus.
- Assist in hiring and recruiting for store as needed.
- Open and close the store as needed.
- Responsible for accurate cash handling and inventory management
- Encourage, assist, and train employees to create the best customer experience in the cannabis world.
- Plan and prepare work schedules as needed.

- High Volume retail experience is a plus.
- Has cannabis knowledge including products, strains and consumption methods.

Qualifications & Skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- METRC Experience (1 year)
- Previous experience in an inventory or a compliance role
- High attention to detail and compliance mindset
- Knowledgeable of state cannabis regulations
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to be assigned to different tasks throughout the day
- Must be able to pass a iCHAT background check in accordance with state regulations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for at least 8 hours
- Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, crouch to access product
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to push/pull carts with various weights

Salary : $50,000 - $80,000
