Summary:
Working from shop drawings, procedures or other written, verbal, or electronic instruction, perform operations associated with the assembly of final product, sub-assemblies, and componentry for chiller products. Maintain production equipment and facilities in a safe, clean, and efficiently operational manner. Adhere to procedures and prepare and maintain records, in either written or electronic form, regarding safety, quality, productivity, preventive maintenance and housekeeping. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities: (Note other duties may be assigned.)
- Demonstrates compliance with all safety rules and PPE requirements.
- Read, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, and other written, electronic, or verbal instruction.
- Work with a variety of materials to complete assigned tasks to meet production requirements.
- Operate various tools and equipment to assemble, test, handle, manipulate and move components, assemblies, and final product.
- Use measuring and testing devices as well as visual inspection to ensure quality of product and conformity to prints, work instructions and standards. With the goal of eliminating internal and external escapes.
- Complete required records including but not limited to quality checklists, inputs into specified electronic systems. Report line issues into the appropriate data collection systems.
- Safe operation of equipment as required to complete assigned tasks (e.g. charging stations, water jet, evacuation pumps, tuggers, cranes, etc.).
- Require frequent physical lifting, bending, twisting, and repetitive shoulder/arm/hand/wrist/finger motions and maybe required to climb greater than 4 feet off the ground to perform some work
- When an employee is hired onto a Line Assembler position they will be at the probationary rate for up to 180 days or until they are signed off on the JSK requirements per below table. Once the requirements are met they will be moved to standard rate.
- Employees bidding into the Line Assembler job classification will be at Qualifying Rate of pay until they are signed off on the JSK requirements per below table. Once the requirements are met they will be moved to standard rate.
- All employees in the line assembler position will have 6 months to reach standard rate of pay or may be disqualified.

Work Environment: Basic manufacturing environment – must be able to tolerate increased heat on shop floor during summer months and to tolerate increased noise associated with manufacturing equipment in use within the plant. Must be able to properly wear PPE associated with plant safety requirements for the position(s) assigned.
Physical Demands: Must have the ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds; be able to stand for up to 75% of shift time; have the ability to move or walk around the shop floor; ability to ascend/descend ladders; have the ability to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, and/or position tools, parts, and equipment in the work area; be able to position one’s self (stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch) to assemble product; be able to communicate clearly and exchange information with co-workers; be able to listen/hear voice communications and warning buzzers/claxons/devices; be able to visually interpret parts, colors, diagrams etc. Other physical demand, if not previously addressed, can be reviewed by management at any time.
