Position Overview

Daily Harvest is looking for a Business Systems Manager to join our Finance team. The Strategic Finance team at Daily Harvest prepares analyses, financial forecasts, and reporting packages to help drive key decision-making across the organization.

What you'll do:

• Provide systems support to the Accounting and Finance teams during month end close, monthly reporting and ongoing projects
• Partner with Controller and Assistant Controller to create efficient, scalable processes and formalize systems internal controls
• Liaise with data, engineering, operations and other teams to ensure system outputs are provided timely and validated for accuracy to meet financial reporting deadlines, troubleshooting issues as needed
• Document current business processes and ensure systems are being leveraged to fully utilize capabilities and automation
• Evaluate and lead implementation of new systems to support accounting and finance functions
• Analyze, evaluate and influence solutions to systems that have downstream impacts to accounting processes, while developing business requirements for strategic projects and new solutions that will scale as the company grows
• Support end users in all business functions, in the use of Netsuite ERP application relating to scripts, workflows, saved searches and other ad-hoc configuration setups
• Manage tasks related to ERP administration, improvements, upgrades and enhancements
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate into clearly defined and detailed business systems requirements, including business use cases, process flows, traceability matrices and report mock-ups
• Monitor project progress, identify and escalate potential project risks and delays to management
• Plan and facilitate user acceptance testing and sign-off process with business stakeholders
• Assist accounting and finance teams with other duties as assigned

Who You Are:

• 4+ years experience in a business analyst, project management support or equivalent role
• 2+ years experience supporting an accounting/finance organization
• Bachelor’s degree in related field required
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have experience working in NetSuite ERP application in an e-commerce environment and understand the impacts of systems data and integrated processes to account for inventory, revenue recognition, general ledger and month end close
• Experience developing and monitoring internal controls in financial systems
• Experience with analyzing large sets of data using SQL queries and other tools
• Experience with other NetSuite integrated financial systems a plus
• System implementation experience a plus
• Ability to navigate a highly cross-functional organization and create a culture of collaboration with stakeholders across the company
• Strong initiative to drive improvements and automation in systems and accounting/business processes
• Highly motivated with positive, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to wear many hats as the Accounting and Finance functions evolve
• Demonstrated experience in establishing formalized processes and internal controls in a small company or startup environment
• Experience working at a tech or e-commerce company
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with ambiguity, shifting priorities and tight timelines
