What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pricing Coordinator II position at Dairy Farmers of America, Inc.?
Coordinates milk, cultured, and/or ice cream pricing and sales-related information so that data needed to establish and communicate pricing to customers is accurate. Reviews for accuracy, researching issues and initiating contact with internal and external customers to solve discrepancies. Works cross-functionally with Financial Services and Sales to maintain dependability and confidence in the order-to-cash process.
- Calculates, prepares, and distributes milk, cultured, and/or ice cream price lists for Kemps customers.
- Calculates, prepares, and distributes Kemps customer rebates to ensure accuracy and compliance with company objectives are maintained.
- Prepares and distributes Kemps customer promotions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company objectives are maintained.
- Works directly with the customer to resolve a variety of questions or concerns related to pricing and the order-to-cash process, ensuring that the highest level of customer service is maintained.
- Partners with Sales and Finance to assist with basic analytical reporting that may include volume, pricing, ad planning and effectiveness, and other sales ad hoc analysis reports as needed.
- Maintains an awareness and understanding of dairy and frozen costing principles to strengthen overall understanding of Kemps price changes.
- Understands the strategy of the pricing operations, identifies, and suggests opportunities to reduce complexity and improve efficiencies.
- Develops relationships to maintain and improve our internal business partnerships with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Finance. Actively participates in identifying ways to work more collaboratively.
- Helps communicate and maintain process controls across all departments; such as, ensuring authoritative signatures are captured when called for, rebates are reviewed according to the audit schedule, sales' ad plans are in accordance with management objectives, customer agreements are maintained.
- Keeps manager informed of activities that may require his or her attention.
- Performs other duties as apparent or assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field and 1-3 years of customer service, accounting, or business admin experience.
- Or Associate's degree in Accounting, plus 3-5 years' customer service, accounting, or business admin experience.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Note: over 50% of work flow and task responsibilities are performed in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge and application of basic financial metrics and analytic process
- Basic knowledge of dairy industry regulations and dairy costing
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy
- Working knowledge of job related ERP system operations and applications
- Ability to work in a variety of information systems, databases and customer web-based systems such as pricing and item information or promotion planning and scheduling
- Knowledge of company product lines and ERP system order to cash process flow
- Ability to demonstrate professional oral and written communication skills
- Ability to make decisions and judgments with minimal supervision
