What You Can Expect

For this experienced assembly position, the successful candidate will learn to become proficient at sewing machine and adapter setup, operating cutting and grommet machines, self-checking finished products, routine machine maintenance and following written job orders. The goal is to work with minimal supervision making products start to finish.
Pay
Pay range begins at $15/hr for those demonstrating good hand-eye coordination, using scissors and other hand tools, and interested in becoming expert at using foot pedal operated sewing machines. Performance bonuses reward top performers regardless of seniority.

Training Available

Our training program can help experienced sewing professionals pickup the nuances of sewing vinyl material or provide an entry point for those transitioning from other industries.

Work Description
Sew vinyl materials into document holders, restaurant menu covers and similar products. Add eyelets and grommets using benchtop presses. Add adhesive tape, magnet strip and other options. Measure and cut vinyl material using hand scissors and industrial cutting machines. Final packaging and labeling. Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
Work Requirements
Work usually includes a mix of both sitting at and standing for periods of time. Frequent use of hand tools including measuring tapes, scissors and screwdrivers (for machine adjustments). Lifting 10 - 15 lbs is routine, 25 - 35 lbs daily and occasionally up to 40 - 50 lbs. if able. Reading work orders and writing work status on job tickets.

Facility is clean, climate controlled, LED lighting, ample parking and nearby bus stop.
