Dallas Regional Medical Center is a 202-bed acute care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission that offers a wide range of medical services including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization, and imaging. The hospital is the only Certified Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Labor and Delivery Unit in the area. In addition, Dallas Regional is the only Trauma Center for 13 miles, and was the first Accredited Geriatric Emergency Room in Dallas County. The Registered Nurse provides direct care in the outpatient wound care clinic as well as evaluating inpatient wounds. Communicate with physicians / charge nurse / coworkers, as appropriate regarding changes in the patients treatment, clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies. Has the ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Education and Work Experience
- BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
- Previous Wound care knowledge and or experience preferred (1 Year).
- Wound Care Certification within first year of hire Wound, Ostomy, Continence (WOC) Certification preferred.
