The Quality Operations Engineer is responsible for effectively employing Danaher Business System (DBS) tools and concepts to maximize efficiency and quality and works with the extended quality team to contribute to the product development process, project goals, and growth opportunities within the Quality Organization.
This position is part of the Quality Engineering department and will be on-site, located in Lodi, California. In Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Collaborate with the project core teams throughout the phase-gate process for new product and new process development and ensure compliance with Cepheid and Danaher policies and procedures.
- Make approval decisions for process validation and other processes on the manufacturing floor, warehouse, and facilities as required.
- Use quality control and risk assessment tools for project tracking and risk management to drive improvements in process capability and quality of products.
- Regularly monitor, investigate, and review nonconformance activities and generate CAPAs and SCARs based on issues and trends identified during the operations MRB and drive them to closure.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field with 0-2 years of related work experience in the manufacturing industry.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Certified Quality Engineer from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) or other qualifying organizations. Examples include the CQE, CRE, etc.
- Experience in the plastic injection molding process.
- Experience in the medical device industry, knowledge of CFR 21 Part 820 (QSR), ISO 13485.

The salary range for this role is <$58,700 - $80,700>. This is the range that we, in good faith, believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
