What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Analyst position at Danaher?

The supply chain analyst will utilize both technical supply chain skills along side strong leadership competencies to help drive supply chain excellence for the Duncan manufacturing site.  Experience and analytical capabilities related to strategic inventory design, purchasing and vendor management, and production planning over a 1 to 12 month period will be critical to success in the role.  The supply chain analyst will be responsible for supporting forecasting of critical supply chain metrics such as net inventory, cost of goods sold, and inventory turns among others.  Additional primary responsibilities will include site supply chain projects and initiatives linked to DMS (Danaher Materials System).  Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP design and use for both make to order and make to stock product portfolios is required.  SAP experience strongly preferred.  The supply chain analyst will also need to demonstrate strong teamwork capabilities and be able to work cross functionally with other departments to support continuous improvement of existing processes.  Ability to operate within a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) environment is required for success.

What you'll do

  • Lead and maintain the site IMAG (Inventory management at gemba) cadence
  • Support the site PFEP process
  • Use DBS tools to seek out Kaizen opportunities in the interest of increased schedule attainment, PGI attainment, efficiency, utilization, and on time delivery.
  • Utilize DBS toolbox to drive KPI improvement including Problem Solving Process (PSP), Action Plans (APs), and Kaizen
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision
  • Effectively facilitates through conflict to ensure listening and adherence and support differences of opinions
  • Strong ability to help develop junior associates in areas of supply chain, planning, and inventory design and optimization
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills – data analysis, manipulation, visualizations
  • Exceptional SAP Warehouse, Production, and Purchasing module skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or data/business analytics.
  • 2 years of supply chain experience in roles directly supporting a manufacturing facility
  • Experience in make to stock and make to order environments
  • 1 years’ experience using continuous improvement tools and methodologies
  • A comprehensive understanding of production planning, demand analysis, inventory design, and direct material purchasing
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (mastery of vlookups and pivot tables are minimum requirement)
  • 1 years using SAP ERP system with specific experience in any combination of the following modules: warehousing, production planning, purchasing

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS CPIM or equivalent

  • Leadership: Willingness to coach other employees within the supply chain organization as well as the organization at large on supply chain and SAP topics to increase the supply chain and SAP maturity of the site.
  • Communication:  Interpersonal skills that build productive relationships and influence others, both within the business and across organizations.  Ability to interact with all levels of the business (senior leaders to working teams), exceptionally good listening skills, able to present complex or new ideas with clarity and simplicity
  • Teamwork:  Collaborate effectively with others in the spirit of common objectives.  Find ways to remove barriers creating silos between departments
  • Planning and Execution: Excellent project management and prioritization skills. Solid business acumen. Able to deliver results despite shifting environment
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Able to identify problems; apply structured and disciplined methodology to identify root cause using data. Innovative and effective solution development, risk mitigation and execution. Hands-on experience with most of the following Lean / Problem solving tools: DMAIC, Lean, voice of the customer, benchmarking, quality function deployment, control charts, standardized work, etc.
