Position Overview :
In this role you will be part of the Metrology team which is responsible for measuring precision optics and optical assemblies.
This position will expose the candidate to various spatial metrology tools, such as large and medium sized bridge type Coordinate Measuring Machines, Laser Trackers, Portable Arms, and other emerging technologies.
Specific Requirements :
In this position, you will be responsible for :
Major duties for this position include precision inspections and measurements, machine use and providing assistance to the team by executing assignments within the Optical Manufacturing organization.
- Measuring optics in accordance with manufacturing documentation, process documentation and technical requirements under the guidance of the Group Leader
- Ensure safe handling of in-process and deliverable hardware
- Compliance to standard work requirements
- Support full compliance to Environmental, Health and Safety requirements
Travel Requirements : Minimal
Education Requirements :
HS Diploma
Experience Required :
- Experience in a manufacturing environment including working knowledge of blueprints and tolerances
- CMM Operating Experience, preferably on a Zeiss using Calypso.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, listen to and interpret instructions, operate tools and / or machinery with hands and arms and remain stationary for extended periods of the time.
The employee will use protective equipment to work with chemicals, move between work stations, reach and replace equipment, and move items weighing up to 25 lbs.
