About the Role
We are looking for a Lab Supervisor to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. The Lab Supervisor will oversee the workflows, equipment, and team members associated with their assigned department(s). In this role, you will assist and support a team of 5 technicians in a state of the art and digital-only facility in Lehi, Utah. You will be responsible for ensuring that orders are fabricated at the highest quality standards. What You'll Do
- Operate Quickly: Support your team to fabricate high-grade dental products in a fast-paced environment
- Scale: Continuously seek opportunities to improve workflows and processes for optimal efficiency and scalability
- Data-Driven Optimization: Track key performance indicators and conduct root cause analysis to optimize resources and drive on-time delivery of high quality products
- Problem Solve: Roll up your sleeves to quickly troubleshoot and solve people, process, and technology issues as you operate within a large scale and fast paced dental lab
- Quality Adherence: Monitor and enforce adherence to strict manufacturing quality standards (e.g., polishing protocols) and roll up your sleeves to lead by example. High quality is key to efficient scalability!
- Collaborate: Work with other teams to proactively identify and address high priority improvement opportunities
What We're Looking For
- 1 years of experience managing a team in a fast-paced dental manufacturing environment
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
- Robust vision capabilities and attention to detail, including depth perception and color
- Deep knowledge across multiple materials and finishing techniques
- Passion for breaking down complex problems into smaller manageable steps in order to help team members effectively work through the ambiguity
- High level of comfort with digital tools and technology
- Very high attention to detail and organizational skills
- Team player attitude and willingness to help others to help the team exceed expectations
- Natural curiosity and ability to learn new concepts, tools, and workflows quickly
- Strong self-motivation, self-direction, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders to push improvement initiatives to completion
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
