Danfoss is experiencing significant growth and is looking to expand in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility with the addition of a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer will be part of an operations team that works closely with eighty employees to achieve key performance indicators for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Utilize data driven approach and tools (e.g.: Power BI) to help focus manufacturing team on critical to quality topics to achieve internal and external quality goals.
- Interact regularly with customers on improvement initiatives, quality concerns and audits to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Lead organization in meeting all requirements of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and IATFLOA standards, leading successful audits and maintaining certifications.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives on the production floor to achieve quality key performance indicators.
- Manage all aspects of the quality management system to ensure compliance and to certify customer, supplier and Danfoss requirements are met.
- Conduct product, manufacturing process and quality management system audits to verify adherence to standards and to establish improvements to our quality programs.
- Develop and implement quality initiatives to support strategic plans and company targets.
- Measure and report out on quality initiatives and results to corporate liaisons.
- Actively participate on new product development teams to ensure new products are implemented without negative quality impacts to production.
- Develop and maintain documents and procedures related to quality standards, product audits, field returns and repairs, complaints, scrap, and rework, and retain documented information as evidence.
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, quality, operations, engineering, or a similar field.
- 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Lean and Six Sigma experience and/or certifications.
- Knowledge of and experience in all facets of a quality management system.
- Experience leading ISO and/or IATF certification audits.
- Strong people skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Global mindset and excellent communication skills to efficiently communicate across all levels in the organization.
- Excellent time management and project management skills and the ability to organize and plan effectively in developing effective systems and processes.
- Strong persuasive skills and the ability to respectfully challenge the status quo.
