Job Description
Danfoss (formerly Eaton Hydraulics) has immediate 1st shift openings for Operator ll – Distribution Operator at our Van Wert, OH facility. The Distribution Operator will safely and efficiently perform manual labor during the production process of Danfoss products. They will be required to operate a powered industrial truck to pick product for shipment and be willing to work on equipment up to 20 feet in the air. The employee could also perform other Distribution tasks such as weighing/sorting product, combine products, monitor, filing containers, and prepare product for shipping.
This is a FT position - Fri Sat & Sun - 7AM to 7 PM - 3, 12 hour days paid for 40 hour week !
Job Responsibilities
- Must be able to learn, apply, and retain new techniques, concepts and procedures required for continuously improving products, processes, services, deliveries, and overall quality.
- Ability to operate a range of powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts, stock-pickers, or VNA (very narrow aisle) trucks.
- Ability to operate remote scanning devices and general computer skills.
- Must meet or exceed all quality standards set by the customers and individual Value Stream. Must also maintain the quality standards defined for the entire facility.
- Maintain flexibility to be able to move from work area to work area in order to meet the delivery expectations of the customers and the productivity goals for the plant.
- Able to work efficiently to establish standards without constant supervision.
- Promotes cooperation and "team oriented" work environment at all times under the direction of leadership.
Background & Skills
- Must have high school degree or GED
- Must be able to lift (up to) 50lb cartons on a consistent basis
- Must be willing to work on equipment up to 20 feet in the air
- Must have prior operation of powered industrial vehicles of 1-3 years at minimum.
- Attendance is required within the Danfoss guidelines
- Must be willing to and maintain an active license for both Stockpickers and VNA’s.
- May be required to work on other positions depending on staffing needs including but not limited to; Pickstation, Skidline, Carton Line, Consolidation, Weigh Count.
