Job Description
Danfoss is looking for a Quality Leader who will ensure a high level of customer satisfaction (internally and externally) and drive performance through the implementation and application of an effective Quality Management System and lead effective Root cause/Problem solving throughout the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Be the recognized leader for quality in the Local Leadership Team.
- Development and Implementation of quality improvements in our product groups, ensuring that all raw materials, in-process products and finished products conform to technical specifications, perform reliably, meet internal and external quality standards and comply with all relevant regulations and certifications.
- Partner with customer focus quality leaders & ensure that the local management system is compliant to agreed customer requirements, ISO/TS16949, QMS and other requirements with the scope of certification.
- Drive the Continuous Improvement Process related to Quality to ensure that customer and KPI quality plans are developed for all QMS processes to meet the quality targets of the organization.
- Leading and coordinating customer claims and projects impacting plant & multiple customers.
- Ensure that the competencies of the employees in the local organization are in place to enable effective and efficient execution of the QMS processes.
- Ensure continuous development and coaching of all team members.
- Ensure that quality audits (system, processes and products) are planned and executed and control that corrective and preventive actions are implemented by the respective process owners.
- Act as management representative in relation to the local QMS and lead the Management Review Process with the local management team.
- Ensure strict conformance to the Change Control Process (product/process/supplier).
- Interface with Global Quality Leaders to drive quality performance for key customers.
Background & Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or other related disciplines, or related experience will be considered.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in operations and Quality Management.
- Strong understanding of: QMS; Processes approach; ISO, and TS16949; APQP, LEAN principles, Six Sigma tools and methodologies, other continuous improvement methods to support lean order fulfillment processes.
- Able to lead and develop a vision and strategy for the business area including gaining alignment and support.
- Global mindset and excellent communication skills to efficiently communicate across all levels in the organization.
- Good time management and project management skills to organize and plan effectively in developing effective systems and processes.
- Ability to collaborate and participate in the development of site or focus area strategies for quality performance and continuous improvement. Supports site strategy implementation with Managers and leaders.
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally (15%)
- Previous quality and/or engineering leadership experience supporting a manufacturing environment preferred.
