\n- Serve as day-to-day client contact across workstreams; partner with account leads and specialty groups to address client needs quickly, thoughtfully, and effectively
- Oversee operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, timeline, and budget adherence
- Play a major role in the creation of communications plans and goals; ensure tactical programs are carried out that track toward them
- Consistently partner across junior staff and specialty groups to produce high-quality work product
- Build relationships with third-party influencers and internal business partners to meet client needs
- Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both traditional and social media outreach plans
- Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals
- Generate creative ideas and help to lead multiple client programs simultaneously
- Possess a solid understanding of the current healthcare landscape and the relevant issues impacting organizations and businesses active in the health space
- Serve as a central repository of account and disease state knowledge to perform quality control of all externally facing materials
- Ensure specialty groups, including digital, social media, creative, and data visualization, are integrated into all relevant programs and properly briefed on account activities and information
- Supervise account junior staff by motivating, coaching, and consistently providing timely and actionable feedback
- Contribute to business growth through introducing clients to new capabilities, building a network of industry contacts, and participating in relevant professional organizations
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values (Quality, Integrity, Respect, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Mutual Benefits) and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
- At least 4 years of full-time experience in public relations and/or related fields including advertising, management consulting, and media
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (public relations, communications, English, advertising, journalism, business)
- Experience in policy and/or health policy preferred
- Excellent storytelling, writing, and presentation skills
- Management and leadership skills as well as a proven track record of success in executing fast-moving, large-scale campaigns at the strategic and tactical level
- Prior experience integrating non-profit and patient advocacy organizations into content
- Ability to manage budgets and timelines on sizable pieces of business to achieve client goals
- Experience with pharma MLR review process
