The Director of Analytics provides thought leadership and acts as a subject matter expert in leading a team for designing and recommending appropriate analytical approaches and methodology in addressing key issues within the End-to-End Supply Chain. The Director of Analytics leads the data-analytics teams in research, development, and implementation of appropriate data systems that lead to improved business performance and achievement of overall business goals. In time, this role will expand scope to include additional operations areas.
The Director of Analytics additionally builds a profile of data and analytics by providing clear data and analytics stories and spreading them across the business. In this capacity, the Director of Analytics will also play a mentorship role to key data analytics and data warehousing personnel, ensuring constant improvement in their professional skills, guiding in the execution of their duties upon request.
The role of the Director of Analytics is a highly collaborative one. The Director of Analytics will work closely with the internal departmental heads across Operations, executives, and other partners such as Information Technology (IT) in an effort to create long-term strategies & guarantee the delivery of high-quality execution of the diverse array of project deliverables.
The Director of Analytics also has the responsibility to stay informed and keep up with the latest industry trends and best practices that he subsequently imparts on the data warehousing and data analytics personnel for constant growth and optimal departmental and business performance.
The Director of Analytics also has a role to play in building, maintaining, and improving the existing business intelligence and analytics tools across Operations. The Director of Analytics additionally leads measurement framework development and defines the business KPIs alongside senior data and analytics leadership.

Responsibilities
- Analytics Strategy Development, Governance / Priority-Setting, Execution, Team-Management
- Experience collaborating with multiple functional areas to create business insight by applying data visualization principles to create interactive dashboards.
- Technical expertise including data analysis, data mining, machine learning, & programming.
- Governance of business needs and prioritization of projects.
- Establishing data analytics best practices.
- Assisting in data science projects, that can include insights across multiple functional areas within Operations. (Example Network planning and manufacturing impacts on each other)
- Communicating business insights and project goals.
- Creating a data strategy, the defines people, processes, and technology governance to drive Operations to a more data driven decision organization.
- Delegating tasks and responsibilities to data analytics team members and holding team members accountable for completing assignments by deadline.
- Comfortable communicating with their direct reports as well as various levels within the organization, up to Chief Operations Officer.
- Mentoring and training direct reports.
About You
Preferred Candidate Qualifications
- 5 years’ Experience managing teams, along with influencing cross-functional partners & executive leadership.
- Undergraduate degree in business, supply chain management, information systems, engineering, or other quantitative/STEM discipline.
- 12 – 15 years of relevant work experience wrangling, transforming, and harmonizing data.
- Data intake, manipulation, & visualization skills.
- Solid understanding of modern data architecture and data pipelines.
- 5- 7 years Project management experience including strong organizational skills and a willingness to regularly interface with project sponsors and senior leadership.
- Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods industry a plus.
- Relevant exposure to supply chain/operations and associated datasets.
