Danone North America is looking for a Training Coordinator in Minster, Ohio.
The Training Coordinator is expected to coach, guide and when needed, demonstrate best practices related to safety, quality, technical and organizational activities for line operators to increase the efficiency of night shift operations. This person will work closely with the shift Supervisor and support daily shift management as needed. They will also work closely with the Training Manager to develop and prioritize training opportunities.
Routine activities will include:
- Coach and train new operators on complex processes (complex technical recovery, unique changeovers, troubleshooting, etc)
- Document and provide feedback on operator performance gaps and progress
- Apply and update training materials as needed (CWs, SOPs, OPLs etc)
- Complete HOD assessments on operators for key activities
- Support training and cross training plans
- Support shift supervisor in critical activities:
- Following up on and escalating line performance status
- Contributing to shift notes
- Completing preflight inspections
- Assist in troubleshooting processes
- Complete shift transition activities (meetings, HACCP, notes, etc)
- Occasional vacation coverage
The Training Coordinator (PKG Night Shift Lead) is a critical member of the night shift operation, focused on elevating the capabilities of the operators. They must be a change catalyst with strong communication and time management skills. Most importantly, they must be a team player!
Other responsibilities require the ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs., stamina and endurance (e.g., standing, sitting, walking, etc.) for long hours, the willingness to travel stateside & abroad, and the availability to be on-call & work flexible hours (e.g., late nights, weekends, off shift).

- Communicate with on shift supervisor
- Attend 2am meeting scheduling meeting
- Technical
- When possible, help trainees better understand equipment operation to improve their troubleshooting skills and expedite fault recovery
- Engage first responder mechanic for deeper explanation when necessary
- Time management/flow
- Coach on proper escalation (technical, WMS etc)
- Coach on routine to improve trainee time management and meeting standards
- Create and execute sustain methodologies (Health check and trend checks)
- Monitor Trainee checkpoints and milestones:
- Participate in daily shift meetings
- Identify and communicate breakdowns and gaps in performance with respective personnel / systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex, ambiguous issues
- Ensure standard process and tools are developed for job-specific tasks
- Facilitate problem-solving activities and discussions
- Perform all other assigned tasks/duties
Education:
- Associate’s or Technical degree or some educational equivalent (Preferred)
