About the Role:
As a Land I&E Technician, you will be a key member of a multidiscipline operations team, reporting to the Pipeline Foreman. Your primary responsibility will be to perform the inspection and maintenance of electrical systems, flow meters, quality control analyzers, pressure sensing devices, and valve actuators on the pipeline system. This role requires working closely with other crafts in the Operations organization to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the pipeline system. You must be able to work in adverse weather conditions and be subject to after-hours call out.

Responsibilities:
Operational Activity:
- Recognize potential hazards to operations and protect both human beings and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain the instrumentation and electrical systems associated with the CO2 pipeline facilities, compressor stations, and pump stations.
- Possess competent knowledge of various pumps and compressors driven mainly by electric motors.
- Inspect and maintain meters and quality control analyzers as needed.
- Review and analyze problems associated with electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Perform calibrations on transmitters and pressure/flow controllers.
- Read PIDs and electrical schematics.
- Work in an enterprise asset management system - SAP.
- Maintain historical records for regulatory inspections.
- Perform inspection and testing of pressure safety valves and overpressure protection devices per regulatory requirements.
- Complete and maintain Operator Qualification requirements to comply with PHMSA regulations.
- The reporting location is in Baker, MT. Must be willing to travel to adjacent operational districts for support.

Required Education / Skills:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience as an I&E Technician.
- Prior experience with automation and controls.
- Leadership ability in safety, environmental, and regulatory practices.
- Ability to work in an outside environment during all seasons and weather conditions. Must be able to navigate rough terrain by walking and lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical to demonstrate the ability to meet and perform the essential functions of the job.
