Responsibilities:
- Preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of oilfield surface equipment. This includes knowledge and skills to maintain equipment reliability of various pumps, compression (screw and reciprocating packages), and associated plant/field surface equipment, such as centrifugal, transfer, H Pumps, flares and combustors.
- Strong background in reciprocating, screw and vain compressor maintenance
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety (personal safety, co-workers, contractors and the public)
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform root cause failure analysis
- Thorough knowledge of surface equipment types and applications related to gas/oil processing
- Ability to repair mechanical problems on required equipment
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and manage operating costs within budget
- Experience working with high and low speed gas engines
- Capable of basic troubleshooting of automation and electrical equipment. Also capable of repairing some equipment, such as actuators & level alarms and of changing out fuses, relays, etc.
- Competent in computer programs applicable to his/her daily work processes (Microsoft programs, Maximo)
- Experience in directing and supervising contract labor
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Skills & Competencies:
- Can state the purpose of process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and single line diagrams (SLDs).
- Recognizes common equipment symbols used on different type of diagrams.
- Can identify the standards related to installations in hazardous areas.
- Can state when accurate or specialized measuring and testing devices are required.
- Recognizes all safety precautions to be taken while using measuring and testing devices.
- Can outline alignment, lubricant, and mechanical principles.
- Demonstrates a general awareness of the safe way to utilize hand and power tools, how to the correct tools for the job and how to dispose of damaged or faulty hand or power tools in accordance with approved procedure
Requirements:
- 3 years demonstrated experience in O&G Technical Field environment, with proven experience in preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of oilfield surface equipment. This includes knowledge and skills to maintain equipment reliability of various pumps, compression (screw and reciprocating packages), and associated plant/field surface equipment, such as centrifugal, transfer, H Pumps, flares and combustors.
- Adhere to all standard safety policies and procedures
- Strong communications skillsets working with Operations personnel, vendors and management
- Must be able to pass all conditional job offer requirements including but not limited to: background, drug, hair follicle, agility and fit for duty
- Must have valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Technical training/certifications highly preferred
- Must meet all conditional job offer requirements including: background, drug, MVR, agility and fit for duty
