Summary: This position is the focal point for integrating HES practices and policies into daily operations of a cross-functional team which includes operations and support functions for new hires, and field operations. Responsible for communicating and applying federal, state, local, and company HES policies and requirements within oil and gas operations.
Job Duties:
- Developing and implementing new and existing programs designed to promote improved HES performance
- Working closely with New Hires
- Emergency response to field operations
- Audits and assessments record-keeping
- Internal and external reporting
- Development of written reports

Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in health, environmental, and safety (HES) in the oil and gas industry
- Demonstrated, proactive and responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors, and the public
- Working knowledge of health, environmental, and safety regulatory requirements at the federal, state, and local levels
- Experience in developing, delivering, and managing company safety, health, and environmental programs
- Effective interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence behaviors to create a safer working environment
- Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven ability to work with employees, contractors, landowners, city officials, and regulatory personnel to continually reduce safety and environmental incidents
- Effective time management and organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Team-oriented, flexible, self-starter, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Good computer skills – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Additional Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- HES-related degrees or HES certifications are strongly preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
- Travel to customer locations is required for this position
