What are the responsibilities and job description for the Porter position at DARCARS Automotive Group?
Purpose:
The Automobile Porter is responsible for the placement and condition of the vehicles from arrival to sale. They often do various tasks around the dealership.
Responsibilities:
-Assist with service write-up and tagging customer vehicles.
-Give customers rides to their home and employer.
-Clean area around service department and showroom.
-Pick up mail and do other pick-ups & deliveries.
-Go on dealer trades. Responsible for inspecting both our vehicle and the unit we are receiving for perfect condition and missing equipment.
-Manage inventory from the delivery of vehicles to lot placement.
-Prepare car for display and showroom presentation.
-Manage parking lot.
Qualifications:
-Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
-Good judgment
-Ability to handle machinery safely
-Must be able to drive across surrounding states to pick up our vehicles
-Must be outgoing and able to give a good impression to customers
