What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trader position at Darigold Brand?
What You Will Do
- Contribute to the achievement of annual trading goals by utilizing approved strategies.
- Successfully manage commodity positions within risk limits.
- Communicates and operates within the strategies outlined by the Head of Trading.
- Propose new financial and physical fluid trading strategies.
- Stay up to date on industry best practices, competitive landscape, freight spreads and market opportunities.
- Liaise with and strengthen relationships with all internal stakeholders: FP&A, plant management, logistics and portfolio management etc.
- Manage and coordinate new/existing customer or supplier relationships.
- Execute physical fluid commodity trades within a diverse customer base including trading counterparts, end users, processors etc.
What You Will Bring
- Ability to challenge consensus views and resilience when faced with adversity.
- Willingness to be available after-hours and on weekends to monitor market developments, assist customers/team members, and any other issues that may come up.
- Knowledge and curiosity of commodity and financial markets including futures, options, swaps, and forwards.
- Ability to work as a team player and work with a cross functional team.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Highly motivated with a rigorous attention to detail and commercial mindset.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to secure/implement transactions with physical users.
- Ability to develop analytical models and interpret market data is helpful.
Nice To Have's:
- Bachelor’s degree in a mathematical, economic or finance field of study.
- 2 years of experience trading financials or commodity risk positions.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering trading results in a P&L driven environment.
- Proven success working with and influencing a cross functional team to reach companywide initiative.
