Position Description:
This position is responsible for following all Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlined in Darigold’s Good Manufacturing Policy, the position Standard Operating Procedures, and facility employee training sessions. The position is also required to report any concerns that may impact Food Safety or Quality to their immediate supervisor or the Warehouse Manager. Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and cleaning tasks in compliance with safety and GMPS. Occasional overtime may be required to complete assignments.
The Warehouse Worker has complete responsibility for receipt, storage, and transfer of finished goods, packaging materials, and ingredients at Darigold’s Spokane warehouse including responsibilities for:
- Safely operate forklift/pallet jack
- Loading/unloading trucks
- Receive, unload and store products in designated areas
- The accurate and timely input of inventory information into applicable software programs
- Participate in regular cycle counts and inventory reconciliations, which promotes Darigold’s priority of inventory control
- Work with internal and external logistics providers to coordinate inbound and outbound loads
- Submit timely and accurate reports
- Maintain clean work area
Qualifications:
- Ideal candidate will have previous experience as a worker in a food handling warehouse
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds above shoulder height
- Push/Pull large amount of weight
- Ability to organize and analyze process problems
- Strong oral and written communication skills, strong computer skills
- Must be able to read and follow directions of various documents: lot tracking sheets, receipts, packing lists, Bills of Lading, etc.
- Must be experienced with MS Office, DG system applications, and other software computer applications as needed.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining the Manager’s goals.
- Must be able to assemble customer orders using handheld scanners
- Must meet all warehouse performance standards
- Must have a good performance and attendance record
- Must have the ability to learn and perform multiple jobs
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes
