What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Analyst position at Darigold?

Darigold is looking for a Sales Analyst to join our Seattle Team. The CP Sales Analyst II serves as a go-to for the Sales team and their assigned customers supporting the Field Sales and Headquarters teams in providing exemplary customer business performance. Responsibilities center around supporting the Sales team and cross-functional peers to grow Darigold volume and profit as well as serving as a mentor for developing skillsets of their Sales Analyst peers to enhance partnership of Darigold and assigned customer and elevate the reputation of Darigold and Dairy Industry with assigned customers.

What You Will Do

* Comprehensive sales and customer support in service of Darigold's business, growing volume and profit. Responsibilities fall into 4 main areas: Sales analytics, Promotion Planning support, Forecasting, and meeting & calendar management.
* Sales Analytics - provides ongoing sales reporting of Darigold and customer KPI's, performance metrics and deliverables for assigned customers and supports development and implementation of KPIs and performance tools for all Darigold customers
* Customer POS data analysis
* Syndicated data analysis
* Darigold reporting - coordinate with FP&A on reports
* Customer business metrics and score-carding
* Line review and other customer sales presentation support
* Actionable category trends and insights
* Macro customer reporting

* Promotion Planning - serves as subject matter expert on Darigold promotion planning tools and reports as well as manages execution and analysis of all Darigold/customer trade promotion agreements for assigned customers
* Assist sales team with accurate promotion entry in Darigold systems (Demantra)
* Assist sales team with accurate submission of promotions in Customer systems
* Promo plan evaluation to ensure effectiveness, compliance with Darigold promotion and pricing guardrails, and achievement of Darigold objectives
* Promo analysis and reporting to improve and optimize effectiveness, compliance, and achievement
* Support of accurate and timely reconciliation of promotion deduction and payments

* Forecasting - Coordinate with sales team to ensure accurate and up-to-date forecast for all assigned customers
* Accurate estimate of promotion forecasts and timing
* Accurate estimate of new item launch volumes and timing
* Maintain accurate baseline volumes and seasonality adjustments
* Regular reporting on customer and item forecast accuracy

* Customer Documentation - coordinate with internal departments (CX resolution) to maintain accurate and up-to-date customer agreements and documentation for assigned customers
* Accurate and current record keeping for all customer contracts
* Entry, maintenance, and documentation of all customer promotion agreements in Darigold and Customer systems
* Track, maintain and record all RFP submissions and documents to Darigold guidelines and timing

* Meetings and calendar management - attend cross-functional meetings (IBP, ITP, Commercialization) to represent the voice of sales and report back to the sales team a consolidated list of relevant timelines and projects. Maintain planning calendars and sales meeting cadence.
* Weekly commercialization meeting attendance and recap
* Monthly planning meetings (IBP/ITP)
* Customer calendar aggregation (presentation windows by category)
* Consolidate information provided by Marketing (support activity and product changes) distributing to appropriate sales team members
* Regular communication with the Customer Business Partner team (CBP's)

* Other appropriate duties as assigned

What You Bring:

* Bachelor's Degree required, Business or Marketing Major preferred
* Master's Degree in IS, Business or Operations preferred
* 4-7 years' analyst experience working with a CPG/FMCG sales organization.
* Experience using customer systems and programs required (Demand Tech, Retail Link, SymphonyA1, 84.51, Vendor Central, etc.)
* Experience using syndicated data systems and programs required (IRI, Nielsen, etc.)
* Demonstrated experience in Consumer Goods, Foodservice, or related field
* Demonstrated analytical ability and interest.
* Demonstrated leadership skills required.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision
* Advanced level MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Interest to advance into sales, marketing and/or category management roles.
