Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a Cloud Engineer with Networking and Help Desk experience to support out Operational IT team. Cloud Engineers are responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud services and technologies, as well as experience in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions. This job is located in Herndon, VA and requires on site support 4 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS solutions
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform
- Configure and manage GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud SQL
- Implement security best practices for cloud solutions
- Engineer cloud networking platform infrastructure
- Maintain and optimize a production-level cloud deployed Gitlab ecosystem with hundreds of users
- Stay up-to-date on the latest GCP and AWS services and technologies
- Work collaboratively within a fast paced Agile team environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Experiencing managing a production Gitlab environment end-to-end
- 6 years of professional experience
- 3 years of experience with GCP and/or AWS
- Foundational development experience and understanding with tools and technologies such as Git, Linux command line, shell scripting, etc.
- Strong understanding of GCP and/or AWS services and technologies
- Experience designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions
- Experience with infrastructure automation using IaC tools such as Terraform
- Experience with DevOps practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- US Citizenship and security clearance eligibility
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one Google or AWS Cloud Professional Certification
- Experience working within Agile teams
- Experience working with Google Cloud compliance products such as Security Command Center and Assured Workloads
- Experience working with AWS to include AWS GovCloud
- Experience with Palo Alto tools and technologies
- Experience with Elastic
- Cloud networking experience and automation
- Optimizing network traffic flows
- Continuous zero trust optimization
- Experience working with customers in the U.S. Public Sector
- U.S. Federal Government security clearance
- Experience with DoD/DISA cybersecurity policies
We are looking for mid level experience, $90,000.00 - $130,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
