Receives, stores, and issues food and supplies. Purchases perishable stock, food and supplies. Performs inventory control functions.
• Performs inventory and orders chemicals, paper products, produce, beverages, food items, and nutritional supplements.
• Calculates inventory need utilizing system software and transmits orders for items listed above via fax, internet, or phone.
• Receives all food and non-food products coming into Food and Nutrition Services. Checks invoices for proper quality and quantity. Performs data entry to identify products ordered, received and issued.
• Sends back damaged products and generates credits according to established procedures.
• Communicates with Manager regarding shortages, availability and quality of products received.
• Dates and rotates products received.
• Fills all departmental supply requisitions. Communicates with appropriate area staff concerning supply issues.
• Maintains storeroom, walk-in refrigerator, and freezer.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
• High school graduate with 2 years in food supply procurement and specifications.
• Good organizational and communication skills desired.
• Basic computer skills helpful.
