Purpose:
At DASI, the role of the Material Handler is to fulfil distribution and Inventory Cycle count function performed within the warehouse necessary to service the customer.

Key accountabilities:

Perform tasks associated with the receipt, storage, inventory cycle count and shipment of product, while meeting productivity, quality, safety, business conduct and attendance expectations.

Effectively and efficiently use established procedures, tools, equipment, and technologies to complete transactions related to inbound and outbound processes with a distribution center.

Safely perform assigned warehouse functions utilizing established processes, procedures and tools, while meeting performance expectations for productivity, quality, safety and attendance.

Functions may include, but are not limited to unloading, put-away, sorting, labeling, picking, packing, replenishing, cycle count, auditing, shipping, making boxes, etc.

Verification of inventory quantities and condition at pick locations or stock locations within the warehouse.

Count and account for shortages, mis-picks and credits.

Research inventory variances as part of the Cycle Count Audit Program.

Report inventory discrepancies of his/her findings or any inventory related variance to the Inventory Manager.

Comply with policies, guidelines and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, OSHA and Hazardous Material requirements in the storage, handling and movement of product.

Perform necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.

Actively participate in process improvements by utilizing the DASI quality system.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Can tolerate an environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust and work around moving equipment.
