Summary

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator provides support to the Talent Acquisition (TA) team by assisting with general administration duties within recruiting including; sourcing, screening, and onboarding. Partners closely with the Director of Talent Acquisition to assure the delivery of Talent Acquisition services as well as assist with Human Resources (HR) services, policies, projects, and programs that are aligned with overall business initiatives and organizational goals. Responsible for delivering TA & HR solutions that support the specific needs of each business unit and overall business objectives. Ensure operational and administrative efficiency of TA services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Business Partners & Recruiters to support with company recruiting efforts, including but not limited to, requisition creation & closure, posting jobs, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and reporting of TA metrics
  • Conduct new hire orientations and oversee onboarding procedures
  • Responsible for conducting background checks and drug screens as well as both monthly and yearly sanction screenings
  • Partner with leadership and TA & People teams to support campus recruiting and internship/co-op programs with various departments
  • Help support and maintain Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) efforts, affirmative action and career development programs
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Assist with the immigration process and administration as a liaison with immigration attorneys
  • Collaborates with other DAI HR specialty functions (People Partners, Total Rewards, L & D, Environmental Health & Safety)
  • Continuously improves processes and polices to support changing business goals and objectives and assures compliance with Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies
  • Assist with working with agencies, recruiting contractors and/or internet website representatives when conducting employment advertising campaigns
  • Conduct ongoing cross-training of TA procedures as needed
  • Maintain employment records and files as required by federal and state law, as well as company requirements
  • Performs other duties and supports other HR functions as required

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years human resources/talent acquisition experience required
  • Strong relationship building and experience in coaching employees and management through complex, difficult issues
  • Excellent communication and decision making-skills
  • Strong foundation and knowledge of principles and practices of HR including employment law and compliance requirements
  • Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity
  • Take personal responsibility for productivity, quality and timeliness of work
  • Effectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner
  • Challenge conventional practices and use creativity and information to lead, innovate, problem solve, and implement ideas to contribute to the growth of the organization
  • Support and meet company/department goals and core values
  • Collaborate with co-workers to achieve common goals

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66% each work day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
