Job Description

Data Axle provides data, applications, and services that help organizations make and save money. Our commitment to accuracy, service and innovation drive customer acquisition, retention, and product enhancement. We are currently seeking an Art Director.

Our team is searching for a talented Art Director to bring our nonprofit clients' digital fundraising to life and help them achieve their missions. This position is responsible for producing digital campaigns, including social media assets, promotional emails, banner ads, and short videos.

Our ideal candidate will effectively work with other Creative team members to combine creativity, best practices, and technology to produce eye-catching and high-performing designs. We need our new team member to be organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about working with clients that rescue animals, feed the hungry, and save lives.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Direct and design digital fundraising assets for social media, email, display, and website promos.
  2. Collaborate with nonprofit strategists and copywriters to ensure that all designs align with the strategy and brief.
  3. Ensure designs adhere to specifications and best practices across digital platforms.
  4. Provide client support to build and maintain a positive and trusting relationship. Participate in client calls, present Creative work, and provide consultation as needed.
  5. Maintain a high design standard and be an advocate for the Creative process.
  6. Assess project workload and balance resources across the team. Check on progress and ensure on-time deliverables. Advocate for additional resources to Senior Leadership in a timely manner.
  7. Train staff as needed and identify new tools and processes to improve workflow and output.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

  1. In-depth knowledge of design software programs, including Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suite apps.
  2. Knowledge of direct marketing and fundraising principles and tactics.
  3. Ability to come up with new campaign concepts accounting for copy and design.
  4. Excellent creative design skills with the ability to design unique, effective campaigns.
  5. Ability to direct and produce video and animations.
  6. Meticulous attention to detail.
  7. Ability to multi-task and find solutions to complex issues.
  8. Must be deadline sensitive and adaptable to change.
  9. Ability to develop strong relationships with coworkers in a variety of roles.

Education, Experience, and Certification:

  1. Bachelor's degree in digital design or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
  3. Experience with nonprofit fundraising.
