As a Quality Assurance Analyst, this person will work closely with our project and development teams to deliver industry-leading software applications. We are looking for a collaborative partner with a growth mindset with 3 years of experience in testing (QA or UAT), documenting test cases, test results, and defects.   This person would be savvy to help interpret, design and execute SQA test plans along with test automation support.  Develops procedures to validate and enhance the accuracy, integrity, and quality of the Company’s data and BI reporting.  Collaborates closely with QA, BA, PM, and Dev teammates to analyze reporting requirements and data gaps.  Builds methods supporting manual and automated test coverage across test systems to ensure end-to-end quality in the BI data collection and delivery pipeline in support of business and mission-critical KPI reporting.     RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and execute test plans to ensure that all objectives are met. Collaborate on team implementation and monitoring of test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the service or product. Identify and remedy defects within the production process. Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved. Participate in testing software releases, fixes, and versions, delivering on time with high quality. Participate in defects tracking, including detailed triaging of issues and timely requalifying of hotfixes.   QUALIFICATIONS: Strong data analysis and testing background Understanding of Web Services/REST/SOAP concepts and experience with API based testing eg. Postman SQL scripting and working with basic database models Shell scripting, e.g., Unix Bash, Microsoft PowerShell, etc. Exposure working with various database technologies (e.g., MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redshift, Snowflake, DynamoDB, etc.) and methodologies (Relational, Star Schema, NoSQL/XML/JSON, etc.) Experience with data/ETL process validations covering one or more of the following areas:  metadata and config-based deployments, source-target reconciliations, data completeness and integrity, transformations per business rules, regression / process functionality / incremental load testings, and access controls with row-level-security (RLS). Familiarity with functional/integration testing for BI reporting in one or more tools such as ThoughtSpot, Tableau, SSRS, Power BI, etc. Understand test-driven development and support of QA test automation for a CI/CD deployment pipeline. Ability to review and understand business requirements Ability to review and create detailed technical documentation. 3 years of related experience.   Preferred Experience (nice to have, not required): Experience QA testing for systems in large-scale enterprise environments. Experience with automated functional and performance tests using Selenium, JMeter, or similar. Experience working with cloud technologies, e.g., AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Experience working in the EdTech industry. Bachelor’s or higher degree, preferably in Information Systems or a related discipline.   ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Excellent organizational, oral, written, and presentational communication skills to work with all levels of staff and management. Proficient in creating business process and data flow diagrams using tools such as MS Visio and LucidCharts. Familiarity with Microsoft Office / Excel, Atlassian, Google suite, and applicable data analytics tools. Relate effectively and work respectfully with diverse workgroups. Ability to consistently perform well during times of increased workload. Set and meet deadlines. Manage multiple job functions simultaneously.
