Purpose of position: The implementation business analyst will incorporate the use of technical and operational fundamentals to assist in managing all aspects of the implementation project lifecycle for client software installations. This position will also gather, compile, develop and design functional specifications for clients and cross departmentally regarding technological workflows, work with the implementation project managers to improve workflow documents, and assist the director of implementation systems and vice president of implementation with high-level assignments and duties as directed. All functions will be in support of organizational and departmental KPIs set annually.
Essential Functions:
Assists in build and delivery of the highest quality implementations for assigned projects, as well as assists partnered project managers, within designated timelines.
Communicates effectively with Implementation Project Managers and Implementation Programmers to ensure timely completion of assignments throughout implementation.
Carries out needed analyses either proactively or in response to user requests
Communicates project implementation delays, updates and concerns to vice president of implementation
Maintains business acumen in patient access and healthcare revenue cycle and documents this education for annual reviews. Seeks personal and team learning opportunities
Has an ability to identify, analyze and devise solutions to business and technology problems
Fully documents applications and before and after workflows with client systems and data diagrams
Works with project managers to coordinate the phases of customer implementations of AccuReg software solutions to ensure adherence to organizational and department KPIs (set annually) for assigned projects, as well as assists partnered project managers to ensure compliance.
Facilitates assigned implementations using internal system software to manage the lifecycle of the project, including kick-off calls, weekly or bi-weekly calls including edit building calls, establish workflows, confirm edit and error assignment at the client level, schedule training, compile travel arrangements, perform client training and timely transition of clients to support.
Create/manage product training materials.
Work with team members on project priority and scope and coordinate and facilitate project meetings
Facilitates facility set-up tasks efficiently and effectively and collaborates with other project managers, programming, development, enhancement and business analyst teams to achieve client initiatives.
Track issues and resolution with ability to troubleshoot application issues and determine corrective measures
Manages multiple priorities to support client installations
Provides continuous quality improvement principles to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and excellence of all AccuReg products.
Responds to internal teams to facilitate implementation questions as needed on existing and potential client calls.
Facilitates implementation project calls for assigned clients as well as assists other project managers for coverage purposes as needed.
Maintains positive working relationships with internal and external customers by providing superior customer service
Required Skills, knowledge and abilities:
Experience interfacing directly with external customers
Technical background or experience with complex applications and products with exposure to healthcare systems
Exposure to hospital ADT messaging or other technical data streams.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-starter, and ability to multi-task to meet defined deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multiple clients with competing priorities
Ability to communicate in a professional manner in a team environment where cordial and productive working relationships with other staff members is essential
Must exhibit strong proficiency in root-cause-analysis
Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal & written required
Ability to travel up to 75% with extended stay at client site required. Acceptable driving record required
Experience and Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 4 years direct project management, change management or a healthcare related field.
Hospital experience in patient access or business office setting preferred
Microsoft Office applications or compatible technology proficiency required
Professional certifications such as PMP or other healthcare association certifications from organizations such as NAHAM or HFMA are preferred
