What are the responsibilities and job description for the DEI Program Manager - Communications & Strategic Projects position at Databricks?

Partnering with the Manager of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Programs, the DEI Program Manager will lead our program communications strategy and manage strategic DEI projects. You will report to the Manager of DEI Programs but will work across the organization with all levels. As a qualified candidate, you will have experience in communications and strategic project management, as well as a passion for DEI.
The impact you will have:
- Develop and launch DEI communications strategy in partnership with DEI Program team and Social Media Manager that includes robust calendar, social media campaigns, and blog posts
- Produce and publish quarterly DEI internal newsletters and manage communications for 6 DEI Heritage Month programs throughout the calendar year
- Develop and help implement an improved strategy for internal DEI website and collaborate with Brand team on the next version of our external DEI website
- Research, write, edit, and publish communications with a focus for quality, accuracy, and engagement.
- Establish and track metrics to effectively measure the impact and responses – and implement best practices regarding the impact of communications
- Partner with content contributors to ensure content is timely, accurate, clear, actionable and adheres to writing style guidelines
- Help create a more diverse candidate pool by supporting the Talent Acquisition team with our FY23 Diversity Recruiting strategy implementation
What we look for:
- 3 years of experience in communications or project management roles
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field
- Experience in internal communications or marketing communications, including content writing and publishing
- Experience copywriting and editing documents and managing content/editorial calendars. Must provide your portfolio of projects that you have written, edited, or contributed to, with documented success
- Experience creating content: digital, written, video, or visual communications materials
- Experience managing concurrent projects to completion using project management tools like Asana
- Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvement
