Operations Manager
A fantastic career opportunity for a head of Production to join a dynamic, fast growing, multi-location print and graphics company in Upstate NY. Reporting to the COO, the ideal candidate must have an excellent hands-on knowledge of the print production process along with exceptional personnel management skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1) Oversight of production work flow through a team of branch and department managers, with the management of all print processes (digital color, wide format and reprographics) along with finishing processes, across all 6 locations.
2) Organize, control and monitor the flow of production, ensuring on-time delivery and quality is maintained.
3) Ensuring that communication between departments is ongoing and utilized to maintain an environment of efficiency and continuous improvement.
4) Provide assistance and expertise in problem solving, both internally and externally (direct to clients).
5) Ensuring all departmental budgets are met.
6) Reviewing all output of all production locations with the goal of improving processes where possible.
7) Keeping up to date with latest industry trends, technology and related equipment.
8) Create and manage print production schedules.
9) Ensure all equipment is maintained to high operational levels at all times.
10) Keep complaints to a minimum.
11) Oversee all logistics within and between production facilities.
12) Work with the management team regarding new hires, ordering of equipment and tools.
13) Identify training needs and provide a means to train as needed.
14) Staff appraisals and performance reviews.
15) Manage staff holidays, absenteeism, overtime, break schedules and shift patterns.
16) Coordinate purchases and inventory control.
17) Ensure all company policies are adhered to.
18) Help make each customer interaction a positive one.
Experience / Skill required
Minimum of 5 years management level experience
Industry experience, specifically in digital color printing both large and small format
Strong leadership and people management skills
Team Building
IT skills
Project management knowledge
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization (both written and verbal)
Perform well under pressure
Be innovative
Good judgment and decision making skills
Multi task
Already residing within the NY State area
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27,822.00 - $50,000.00 per year
