What are the responsibilities and job description for the GIS Analyst position at DataStaff, Inc.?
DataStaff, Inc is seeking a GIS Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients located in Raleigh, NC.
*The selected candidate will be allowed to work remotely until all staff return to site. At that point the candidate will be required to come onsite. The candidate will use their own equipment until all staff return to site.
- Responsibilities:Designing, developing, and implementing GIS analytic processes such as change detection and geoprocessing workflows
- Developing and executing advanced queries or scripts
- Maintaining roadway centerline and linear referenced data using Esri Roads & Highways
- Utilizing GIS and organizational best practices to maintain and manage GIS layers
- Developing and documenting workflows, standards, and best practices
- Developing and executing test plans for all levels of system testing
- Scheduling meetings and coordinating project deliverables
- Developing instructions for application support
- Required Skills:2 Years - Advanced experience using Esri Roads & Highways
- 2 Years - Advanced experience working with linear referencing systems
- 2 Years - Strong knowledge and understanding of GIS principals, theories and practices
- 2 Years - Strong skills in development of analysis procedure, complex system integration, software configuration management, and business analysis
- 2 Years - Experience troubleshooting and providing customer support
- 2 Years - Experience working with large, relational databases
- 2 Years - Experience with integrating and implementing complex technology solutions
