We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Manager to lead the redesign and automation of our clinical data coding processes. In this role, you will be the driving force behind developing and executing innovative solutions that enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of our clinical data coding processes. Your deep understanding of coding intricacies, coupled with your strategic prowess and execution excellence, will be instrumental in transforming our operations.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive product strategy
- You would be responsible for developing and driving the product strategy, from ideation to launch to scale.
- You will devise the product roadmap that will enable Datavant to sell deeply and effectively.
- Partner with Datavant's client-facing teams to help them be successful and work closely with them on high-value or strategic partnerships & deals.
- Deliver product through iterative execution
- Own the roadmap for your product, create a backlog & prioritization, get stakeholder buy-in and support, and provide scope and specifics where needed.
- Write product requirement documents to ensure our products meet the needs of your customers. Be a driver of discussions, debate, and decision-making, and bring others along with you. Form opinions and advocate for your positions.
- Gather and synthesize information from the market, client-facing teams, and engineering to make informed decisions.
- Drive iterative and fast-paced development, in partnership with the research, design, and engineering teams. Facilitate agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming, retrospectives, and sprint planning.
- Be an expert in our customers
- Be an expert in your product area, understanding the landscape of competitive companies and their respective goals and similarities or differences. Use that expertise to identify and anticipate unmet needs, guiding our technology, and product roadmap to grow the value Datavant can deliver to our customers.

Qualifications
- You have 3 years in a product, focused on healthcare, health data and/or health technology. Experience in coding is a plus.
- You have built products from ideation to launch and find greenfield product development energizing.
- Familiarity with process automation and AI product technology is a bonus!
- You are motivated by talking to customers, conducting market research, solving complex problems, and driving high customer value.
- You have high bandwidth and high productivity - you are noted for your ability to simultaneously manage multiple topics
- You are a very clear writer and have experience creating vision, roadmap and specification documents.
- You are a great communicator and have the confidence to lead planning meetings with engineering and the ability to present concepts and timelines to sales staff and clients
- You work hard - you're best working at full speed and engaging on difficult problems
- You're highly organized - you are systematic, don't drop tasks and document your progress
- You are motivated by getting stuff done - you see and understand the big picture and know how to contribute to it by delivering new features, projects and value month by month

Our compensation philosophy is to be externally competitive, internally fair, and not win or lose on compensation. Salary ranges for this position are developed with the support of benchmarks and industry best practices.

Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is $190,000-$210,000.
