Overview
Datawatch Systems, Inc., a leading national provider of managed access control and emergency management solutions for over 30 years, is seeking an experienced IT Professional to join our team in Bethesda MD.
Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of user incidents and requests by providing telephone, remote, and email support to our users/clients and logging incidents and requests
- Performing IP troubleshooting including VOIP and IP Video configurations
- Working with IT team in a 24/7 environment, utilizing the latest technologies, which may involve infrequent travel to configure remote systems
- Troubleshooting issues related to Microsoft Office Applications and Microsoft Office 2010-2016/Office 365
- Researching and identifying prospective vendors; evaluating products/vendors according to key business criteria; monitor vendor performance and resolve issues/concerns
- Responsible for managing procurement process utilitizing corporate applications and preferred vendor relationships for the Datawatch IT department
- Responsible for inventory control for employee user equipment.
- Prepare and issue purchase order and agreements
- Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 - 3 years of IT Service Desk experience or equivalent
- Experience working with Desktop Operating System Imaging solutions
- Hands-on experience with the following technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, Remote Desktop Server, DNS, DHCP, Office365, VoIP and Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience with managing users in Active Directory and Office 365 Exchange Online
- Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Strong documentation skills
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 10 Operating Systems
- Troubleshoot basic LAN, Internet and VPN connectivity issues
- Excellent communication interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Informations Systems Engineering, Business, or other related fields , or 4 years of related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- The ability to communicate clearly: you can explain just about anything to anyone and you are comfortable communicating with clients over the phone and in writing
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for creating an un-matched customer service experience
- The ability to deliver excellence independently and collaboratively
- It would be helpful to have one of the following industry related certifications: CompTIA: A , Network , Microsoft: MTA, MCSA-Office365, MCSA-Windows Server, MCSE-Server Infrastructure, MCSE-Exchange Server
