Description
Responsible for design, integration, testing, and implementation of custom software applications and services to ensure that the Credit Union’s information needs are met. Works closely with Project Analyst to review and monitor application capabilities and department needs. Monitors, modifies, enhances, and customizes the Credit Union’s operating system. Performs a variety of complex programming tasks. Assists programming and operation staff as needed. Coordinates with management to establish and implement programming goals and objectives. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. This position has the potential for remote work based on management discretion.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
College degree in computer science or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required Knowledge:
Understanding of Credit Union operations and information needs.
Thorough understanding of programming and information systems.
Thorough knowledge of business software applications.
Experience Required:
At least one to three years of related experience, preferably in a financial environment.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
At least two years of related development experience.
Ability to create quality code that needs minimal user testing.
VB/C/Java/Javascript/SQL Programming knowledge.
C# .net/Angular/CSS preferred.
GIT experience preferred.
Symitar experience required.
AIX operation system (or equivalent) knowledge preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Well organized.
Solid project management abilities.
Good communication skills.
Ability to assist and train others.
Able to use PC, terminal keyboards, and various computer hardware.
