    ENDORSEMENT REQUIRED: [143]
    • Must be able to teach multiple math classes and an Advisory section.
    • Must communicate and work cooperatively with students, staff, and parents to maintain a positive climate in the school.
    • Must be skilled at teaching in a team atmosphere, including work on collaborative teacher teams.
    • Must be adept at building relationships and maintaining high academic and behavioral standards for all students.
    • Possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches her/his full potential.
    • Must be willing to communicate with all stakeholders on a regular basis.
    • Must be willing to make accommodations and to differentiate instruction based on students’ needs.
    • Must implement building-wide PBIS practices in support of building and district goals.
    • Must be willing to support and implement multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for both academics and behavior.
    • Must be willing to integrate new technology-based strategies into the classroom.
    • Must attend and actively participate in all building and district professional development.
    • Good attendance and punctuality are necessary to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.
    • Other duties as assigned by administration.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to -
    • Sit, stand, speak, hear, see, and walk to carry out routine duties.
    • Must be able to occasionally lift, move, or push items of 50 lbs. such as assisting children or moving/rearranging furniture.
    • Must be able to supervise students in all types of weather.
    • Meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
    • Must be able to implement Crisis Prevention Intervention strategies, including appropriate physical restraint procedures and escorting.

    • Noise level is quiet to loud.

    • Direct responsibility for the safety, well-being, and work output of student.

    • Strong Classroom Management.
    • Ability to organize work time.
    • Excellent attendance history and work record.
    • Willingness to learn, operate and promote technology.
    • Experience with 4-block schedule and related strategies is desired.
    • Willingness to accept supervisory duties that are conducive to a positive building environment.
    • Understanding of the need for confidentiality with respect to student and parental rights and for conversations and hard copy information.
