What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing Coordinator position at David's Loft Clinical Programs?
We are seeking several full-time Housing Coordinators to manage nationally accredited housing units for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The Housing Coordinator provides supervision to multiple community housing units. The Housing Coordinator is the lead person on shift, acting as the first point of contact for staff and program participants' needs and support. This position is responsible for crisis intervention, facilities management, and maintaining a positive living environment within the community. The Housing Coordinator is also responsible for providing case management services. The Housing Coordinator will ensure the safety of housing residents and the property of the organization. The Housing Coordinator shall possess a BA/BS in a human services field and experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or mental illness. Education can be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. The Housing Coordinator must also be a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist or receive their certification within six (6) months of service.
Duties
1. Support staff in working directly with program partcipants, including providing programmatic supervision.
2. Ensure program partcipants receive entitlements to include TDAP, SSI, food stamps, medical assistance, Maryland State identification, birth certificates, social security card, and any other generic resource.
3. Coordinates on-site/ offsite activities.
4. Ensures community housing residents receive and participate in treatment services and comply with program requirements.
5. Ensure program compliance with all applicable state, federal, and local laws and regulations and national accreditation standards.
6. Ensure 24-hour on-call coverage for emergencies.
7. Supervise staff to include: rehabilitation assistants and peer leads.
8. Attend staff meetings when scheduled.
9. Participate in 40 hours per year of annual training.
10. Prioritize regular communication about the client’s needs with all relevant parties, including Housing Director, Clinical Director, Peer Recovery Specialist, Clinicians/Counselors, Nurse Manager, Medical Case Managers, Medication Technicians, Medical Director, Prescribing Practitioner, and external service providers.
11. Assist the residents with the move-in/orientation process.
12. Represent the organization professionally when engaging with the greater community.
13. Attend residents’ team meetings, annual individual Program Plan meetings, and other relevant meetings.
14. Regularly coordinate and attend activities, social functions, and resident meetings to foster community and empower residents.
15. Maintain detailed case notes about each client.
16. Provide Transportation when needed.
17. Collect and maintain data in assigned areas.
18. Ensures homes are maintained in the highest quality.
19. Assist the medical division when needed.
20. Hold weekly house meetings.
21. Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
