Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work independently. This person should have experience with cloud-based document systems and a working knowledge. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment and support attorneys in various legal matters.

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to lawyers
Assist with legal research, document preparation, and case management
Transcribe legal documents and correspondence accurately
Handle client communication and maintain contact databases
Assist in drafting legal documents
Perform general clerical duties including filing, photocopying, and data entry

Calendaring deadlines, trial schedules, and appointments

Other administrative tasks as needed

Skills:

Previous experience in the legal field preferred

Proficiency in Clio or similar legal software is preferred

Proficient in MS Office

Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction

Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • New Bern, NC 28560 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • New Bern, NC 28560: Relocate before starting work (Required)
