Position Summary: Oversees the successful delivery of quality patient care to a group of patients. Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
Position Qualifications: Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree Required License/Registration: Current WV RN License Minimum Experience: Previous experience in a leadership role Strong working knowledge of departmental policies and procedures Strong leadership and decision making capabilities Required Training: BLS ACLS , PALS, and TNCC must be obtained within 1 years of hire Physical Demands: Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching Prolonged standing and walking Considerably heavy lifting. Lifts, positions, pushes, and transfers patients, supplies, and equipment Working Conditions: The Emergency Department can, and often is, a fast paced and demanding work environment that requires the ability to multitask, think quickly, and work effectively as a critical team member. Employees will be: Regularly exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases Have contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances May be exposed to patient elements Exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, and illness) Required to handle emergency or crisis situations Subject to irregular hours Experience pressure due to multiple calls and inquires
