Dawson County currently has an opening for a Full Time Correctional Officer. This position enforces federal, state, and local laws to protect lives and property within the guidelines of state and federal laws, traffic laws, local ordinances, and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must be 19 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- No felony or serious misdemeanor convictions.
- Valid Nebraska Operator's License, required.
- Meet the requirements of the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center.
- Be able to work 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Applicants will undergo a background check, T.A.B.E. and psychological testing, and must pass a pre-employment drug test.
